Avengers or X-Men?

I love both, but if I had to choose, I would go with the Avengers. (Although there is a bit of crossover between the two groups in recent comics). I just think as a whole the Avengers are the best of the best. I mean, a Hulk vs Wolverine fight would be dope, but toe to toe, I personally don’t think the X-Men could take down the Avengers. I like the storyline of the Avengers and how they came together. Although in theory, it is similar to how Professor X recruited the X-Men, I think the Avengers just have a tad bit more universal appeal, especially with Thor in the mix.

Wednesday Things

1. I just realized that in the month of June so far, I’ve spent 9 dollars. Haha. Being on set we didn’t have to buy anything. I purchased most groceries at the end of May. And believe it or not, the 9 dollars was on a lottery ticket, a case of water, and a refill of my 5 gallon water container. Nope, not even gas.

2. The War (edited) will be complete today. Sent to all the producers for scrutiny and changes, and new changes will be made probably Friday before we send it off to the New York Television Festival on Monday.

3. I’m almost done with Game of Thrones.

4. I got asked out on a date this week. Funny enough, she totally hit me with the “I can see us being really good friends line,” right after she asked me out. Yeah, guess who just became the President/King/Mayor of Friendtown. That truly is a first.

5. Today we have voiceovers. Jordan is doing one for the news broadcast portion of The War, and my favorite general, General Gooftroop is doing the other. We also have a meeting to schedule production stuff for “The Tent.” That is going to be a blast.

6. We had French Toast for dinner with blueberries/strawberries and fresh squeezed OJ. We have breakfast for dinner at least 4 times per week. In my house, it’s just called normal. (P.S., I make THE best breakfast, it’s sort of my thing).

7. I look like shit. I’ve been in the house primarily since Friday. Haven’t shaved. Probably have been wearing the same shirt off and on for about 3 days. Since we have to venture out into the world today, I will have to clean up a bit. Ugh, terrible. I already miss my pajamas.

Nope. I wouldn’t have been. That’s the funny thing. If I hadn’t got fired, I would still be at a job I hate. The film project is over. Now I’m just at home “looking” for jobs (totally editing and working on my movies and books) and spending time with Jordan. Haven’t spent a dollar this month because all of the production food/gas was paid for. Regardless of not being employed, I really am having a good time. Yes I may be poor, but it’s fun as hell really.

1. I am a military brat. Lived in seventeen states, four countries. I was born in Nuremberg, Germany. I have dual citizenship.

2. I have four brothers, I am the fourth of five. Two oldest are twins. I have a brother that is three years older than me, and he’s an idiot and we haven’t talked in about three years. Perfectly fine by me. I really don’t like him at all. And my younger brother was killed nearly five years ago.

3. I was married for just over four years. Nice woman. Just not for me. We are really good friends now.

4. I’ve broken seven bones in my life. Three summers in a row when I was 9,10, and 11, I had a cast on a different body part of my body.

5. I used to get bullied as a kid repeatedly. If you’ve read anything I’ve ever written, there is small parts of that life in there.

6. I usually sleep between 4-5 hours per night. Usually waking up 3-4 times in that span. It’s worse when Jordan is home with me, because I feel I need to get up and check on him.

7. Lately when I get an idea in my head for a story, I have to see it through to the end. I used to just write the idea down in my little blue book, now they go up on the pegboard on my wall.

8. If I am fortunate to ever have another kid, and it happens to be a girl, I’d like to name her Peyton.

9. Superman, Iron Man, Thor…are my top three favorite superheroes of all time. (Perfect year for me because they all have a movie out this year) I used to wear Superman undies and fall asleep in front of the TV watching Christopher Reeves Superman. I read Iron Man and Thor comics repeatedly as a kid. My apartment is pretty much decorated with all three.

10. I currently have two writing partners on four different scripts. I am starting pre-production on the Tent tomorrow as soon as I finish editing the War today. Trying to make it appealing and catchy.

1. Our apartment complex has a breakfast, every single morning. Today was pancakes. Tomorrow is omelets. And so on and so forth. They cook this every day and since I’m off/unemployed, totally taking advantage of this with Jordan.

2. Stayed up editing The War and writing in between rendering sessions. The War, episode 1 will be complete tomorrow. I am learning how to do cool transitions so it’s taking a bit of time. Plus creating graphics for the news report.

3. I hate cheaters on Words With Friends. I know some supreme cheaters on there. Fuckers.

4. Buck4Itt - Yes Jenny gets points for being a friend to Forrest, but that’s like 100 points, and then she gets -100 (-1200 overall) for every time she dogged Forrest. Plus 50 points for letting him touch her boob at college, 171 for the sex pregnancy combo, -506 for leaving in the middle of the night, -10,000 for not telling Forrest she had a baby. -21,000 for finally agreeing to marry him only after he asked her like 5 years earlier. -110,191 for dying and leaving him all alone because he loved her. Now I’m no math major, but that bitch is still in the negative and makes her a supreme thunder cunt. I shouldn’t have watched that movie last night. (Also, thanks to all who agreed about this wretched woman).

5. I have been watching an insane amount of movies lately. SO many. The theater, at home. I just love movies. I’ve been watching movies I wanted to see but never had the chance.

6. Job hunting is so fun (puts imaginary gun in mouth, shoots brains out).

7. Busy week ahead. I have to focus and beat up Jordan a lot. And write. and take him swimming and to Peter Piper Pizza and also do whatever he wants because he’s the priority. Also, beat him up and draw on his face.

1. Currently watching Gladiator, because nothing says Happy Father’s Day like Maximus Decimus Meridius killing other dads in battle.

2. Someone told me today this week that I have high standards and that’s why I’m single. Yeah that’s it. Wanting the best for myself is high standards. Actually I will say I’m single because I seem to meet some of the dumbest fucking people on the planet. Emotionally unavailable, or just plain ol not right for me. And the few that are totally right for me, distance. That friend, is no longer a friend. I’ve heard that from a few people and I really just don’t want to date anyone that isn’t going to be around or that I’m not interested in.

3. Editing video is my least favorite activity. I really hate editing and knowing I have to edit a lot this week makes me hate it more. Ugh, I get distracted easily too. Like know. Totally should be editing, but the videos are rendering so I have a mini break.

4. I love breakfast food. Can eat it any time of the day.

5. Today I heard Jordan laughing in his sleep and when I asked him what he was laughing at, he said “A movie playing in my mind.” Yes son, yes.

6. Still stand by what I said about Superman being the best movie of the summer.

7. The minute I enter my home, my pants come off. No sense in wearing clothes if you’re home.

Thanks! I just love kids which is probably why I write stuff for kids and always have kids in nearly everything I shoot. I think kids are our greatest natural resource and if given the right direction maybe our future wouldn’t be so bleak. Also, my kid makes it easy to be a parent. He listens and he’s funny as hell. So thank you so much!

Sunday 7, The Fathers Day Version

1. Happy Fathers Day to my fellow dads out there and mom’s that do both duties. Being a parent is hard. I am grateful that we all get our day to celebrate each other.

2. I am glad Jordan’s mom and I get along. We are going to breakfast in a bit because that’s my favorite meal and then I will be home all day editing The War and writing in between while the frames render. Also definitely going swimming since the temperature this week is never below 107.

3. Our Fatso QuadFeat was a success. 4 movies. The kid was a trooper. We barely ate anything besides junk food and popcorn. But I have to say, my kid is pretty fantastic.

4. I am almost done with Season 2 of Game of Thrones. While I edit today, I plan on watching them and moving to season 3.

5. Definitely have to find a job this week. Applied to so many places. Got no many callbacks. Like 0. Time to sell my body or something.

6. I finally framed those prints that I got for my birthday. The spray painted Thor and Superman and they are going in the office in my place now. They are awesome. LOVE them.

7. Someone told me that they had a dream I was in Sundance this next year. I hope that comes true. This week is all about pre-production for The Tent. Lots to do. Lots to plan. We are shooting the last week of July. AHHHHHHHH that’s 6 weeks away.
